MOBY DICK HAS A TENANT: Lucky Ejim gets his big break.

As the anticipation increases for the premiere of The TENANT™ at the end of this year in Lagos Nigeria, the success of this multiple award winning movie has resulted in another achievement to add to its fast growing list.


Lucky Ejim, director, co-producer and lead actor of The TENANT™ landed a role in the mini-series adaption of the classic novel "Moby Dick" published in 1851 by American author Herman Melville.
Lucky stars as Daggoo; an African harpooner alongside Hollywood stars William Hurt and Ethan Hawke who play the roles of Captain Ahab and Starbuck respectively.


This mini-series is being produced by the Tele Munchen Group, one of Germany’s largest television corporations and is being called the most expensive project in the company's 40-year history. The budget is clocking at $25 million as shooting begins in Lunenburg on the east coast of Canada and continues thereafter in Malta. The project envisions CGI animation as well as action scenes on the high seas and will wrap up towards the end of 2010.Nigeria eagerly awaits the arrival of Lucky Ejim to celebrate this new accomplishment and of course The TENANT™ which has already won:

The TENANT™ tells the tale of Obinna, a Nigerian refugee in Canada, who faces deportation in 30 days. When all hope seems lost, a chance confrontation with Timothy, his terminally ill landlord, provides him an opportunity to remain in the country. Timothy who is a former immigration officer makes him a deal; to intervene in his pending deportation if Obinna finds his estranged daughter Nicole and convinces her to see him one last time before he dies. With the clock ticking, Obinna fights to save his dreams and stumbles on discoveries that will shake the very foundation of his beliefs.
