There are different versions of the meaning of Literati.

Literati is simply: “An educated and intellectual elite”Introducing to the market world wide is a brand new pop culture inspired clothing line called “Literati”.

Literati Clothing was founded in 2002 and began production on their high quality T-Shirt line in 2009. The Literati Clothing Head of Design, Patrick Rhodes-Vivour describes his line as “bold, direct & unapologetic”. With many subtle elements and codes embedded in its design, Literati draws its inspiration from pop culture.

The new line artistically interprets lyrics through thought provoking images. Literati has currently launched its T-Shirt Line which can be found on http://iamliterati.com. The brand has been spotted in various elite circles in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and Africa.

Literati does not mass produce its clothing, thus making them ‘limited edition’ and collectible. It consists of high quality clothing to reflect the redefined taste of its customers. This line has no boundaries, limitless potential and is already creating a niche for itself and developing a cult following in various countries and now Literati Clothing will storm the Literati African market.

Literati also draws inspiration from African music and intellectual icons such as Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and Lucky Dube. Its upcoming designs will also showcase the diversity of African pop culture and emerging talents such as Nigeria’s MI and Naeto C.Literati is a brand that describes itself as an elite group of people with a ‘Persona’ acquired not by riches and material possession but by wealth of knowledge combined with a curiosity to attain, understand and appreciate things inspired by words.
